On March 17, 1972, a group of college-educated women chartered the Syracuse Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. These 16 women made a commitment to serve their community and to honor each other as sisters.
On March 17, 2022,
the Syracuse Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.,
celebrated 50 years of
Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood and Social Action.
The Syracuse Alumnae Chapter celebrated a weekend of events for our 50th Anniversary year. We began by honoring our charter members with memories and love.
While our weekend celebration has ended, SAC continued to celebrate our 50 years by producing a STEM community service project in partnership with our title sponsor project C/ National Grid and The Delta Torch educating young women and girls about STEM fields and political advocacy.
