Since its founding in 1913 Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. has clearly distinguished itself as a public service organization that boldly confronts the challenges of African Americans and, hence, all Americans.
Public Service Initiatives
Over the years, a wide range of programs addressing: education, health, international development, and strengthening of the African American family has evolved the dynamic of the black family household and thus evolved Deltas’ mission.

Applications are now open for 2024.
Syracuse Alumnae Chapter actively gives out scholarships to the Syracuse community at our May Week celebration.
We have awarded over $175,000 worth of scholarships to African-American students seeking higher education.
