Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Founders marched in the historic Suffragist
March under the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. banner, the Sorority’s first
public act, solidifying Delta’s call to social action

Each of Delta’s programmatic initiatives has an advocacy component that is implemented under the auspices of social action when it is appropriate or necessary to do so.
Under the auspices of the National Social Action Commission, the Syracuse Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. continues to institute activities that foster strategies and ways for sorors to be engaged during this difficult time.
SAC follows a list of several actions for members to
engage and be more knowledgeable about as we embark on
personal commitments to social activism.

Supporting Black Business
The full restoration of voting rights for individuals who have paid their debt to society (ex-offenders)
Support for HBCU
Gender Equality
Assisting our Community: through collection and distribution of food, clothing and beauty and hygiene products
SAC participates in several legislative and lobbying efforts
through specified days in our local, state, and national capitals.
